Greenway Jizera
A journey through nature and history along the river
The Greenway Jizera cycling trail, specifically its section Dolánky - Rakousy - Malá Skála - Líšný, was completed and officially opened in 2013. Despite initial skepticism, the trail quickly became popular, especially among cyclists and inline skaters. This section connects two beautiful locations, Dolánky near Turnov and Malá Skála. Both are frequently visited by water and hiking tourists.
The aim of the trail was, among other things, to create a comfortable and easy route through the picturesque Jizera valley and to revive the historical function of the river as a link between settlements and towns.
The beauty of this place was known to most tourists only from the boat. Now, both pedestrians and cyclists can admire this beautiful corner that has resisted the modern world. Along the way, past meadow pastures where flocks of sheep graze again, and blooming meadows, you will also encounter a reminder of those who farmed here long ago. Old buildings, which are regaining their dignified appearance, give this valley a poetic touch and promise that tradition and traditional craftsmanship are still alive today.
Along the trail, we have prepared several bases with a wide range of services for visitors to this region.
If you decide to take a boat trip from Líšný or Malá Skála towards Dolánky, we recommend taking advantage of the scooter rental option and exploring the entire valley on land, returning to the starting point.
Pension Křížky has become an excellent starting point for trips in the Maloskalsko area.
Directly from the pension, you can set out to Suché Skály, Besedice, Vranov Ridge, or Frýdštejn. Just under 2 km from the pension (upstream) is our outdoor area Žlutá Plovárna with a boat rental and a rope center.
Žlutá Plovárna offers not only boat, paddleboard, and scooter rentals but can also be used for relaxation and entertainment.
Visitors have access to volleyball/foot volleyball courts, beach volleyball, table tennis, a sandbox, and children's attractions. On hot summer days, staying by the refreshing Jizera is pleasant, and there is no shortage of entertainment thanks to many cultural events.
